I got my in Yellow Belt in July of '07 and Green Belt in November in the same year.

I also competed in my first tournament on December 22, 2007. Though I lose my match against a Blue Belt, I did go into ovedrtime with him in my match.

Muay thai. I did a bit of BJJ, but I didn't enjoy it as much. I would rather knock someone out than roll around on the ground trying to get a chokehold on them.

Not really but I'll count it for mutual respect and understanding. 8)

I appreciate that. There is really so much to learn; mutual respect is the only way to go, IMHO. I would like to do MMA at some point, but I'd really need a lot of serious training in grappling and ground fighting, so it would be a challenge to make time available in my schedule these days.

I wanna practice kendo, but my parents don't like martial arts, so they won't pay for it. If I had a half time job, I would try practicing kendo.

i did jiu jitsu for a few years. i got my brown belt (the one before black) i was supposed to get my black belt (do the test and whatnot) but i had to have surgery, was out for a few months, then went to a boarding school out of town. i wish i had finished but i couldn't. i might go back and do it just for the hell of it but i've got no time now with training for rowing, school, etc.
