I know it's a bit late for Christmas songs, but these spoofs by the HPLHS (H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society) are a must-hear for every Lovecraft fan! My favourite is the complete retelling of "The Shadow over Innsmouth" in "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Fishmen" (great video too):

"I Saw Mommy Kissing Yog-Sothoth" obviously refers to "The Dunwich Horror":

"Freddy The Red-Brained Mi-Go" and "Shoggoth Shoggoth Shoggoth" are more generic, but nonetheless funny in a macabre way:

And are there any ABBA fans present? If so you'll find this variation on "Fernando" deeply disturbing:

i recently borrowed an entire album by a band called "the fourth", album title is "musica cthulhiana"... it was all dark, shapeless, gothish, jazzy... a very interesting mix, actually.

AKLO is pretty good - I picked up one of their CDs at the H.P. Lovecraft film festival last year. It seems there are a lot of different directions taken by Lovecraft-inspired music, from comical to seriously creepy atmospheric stuff. I tend to like the dark ambient and metal side of it.

Anyone reading this thread might want to check this book out:

The Strange Sound of Cthulhu

I got it recently but have only skimmed it so far. It looks really thorough and covers many different bands inspired by Lovecraft, in various genres.

After 78 years after his death, Lovecraft has far more cultural influence than he ever had in life.
