I miss when it was worth it to get up at dawn on Saturday mornings and watch cartoons.
I miss going swimming in the summer and loving every second I was in the water.
I miss taking my small dolls or play figures out in the woods or the beach and playing with them.
I miss the stores at the mall that had cool toys and other things but have closed down years ago.
I miss how much fun it was on Christmas night to go have supper at my grandparent's house, take a couple of toys I'd gotten, and my cousins would bring their toys and we'd play with them together.
I miss being able to spend hours being entertained just by my drawing cartoons.
I miss how much fun I'd have in the winter going sledding or making snowmen on playing around on the frozen pond.
I miss trick-or-treating on Halloween.
I miss being allowed to carry a doll or stuffed animal around with me.

I don't miss school.
I don't miss getting up early to go to school.
I don't miss all the times I had to go and get ear tubes put in, which must have been every couple of months, and then getting several surgeries for a mastoid infection when I was a teenager.
I don't miss doing math in school.
I don't miss my mother constantly nagging me to go outside and play especially when it was freezing and there nothing to do outside.
I don't miss my mother making me go on diets to lose weight.
I don't miss my mother telling me I'd have a heart attack or I'd look awful in a bathing suit if I didn't lose weight.
I don't miss being slapped, smacked, or spanked.
I don't miss my mother yelling at me for crying unless it was because I got hurt.
I don't miss my mother telling me I was too old for dolls and stuffed animals.
I don't miss homework.
I don't miss being bullied.

And I REALLY don't miss letting the pizza crust I had in the oven get burned while typing all of this! :x

I miss many things about my childhood be it the many adventures that my siblings and I took a great amount of comfort to finding a great amount of happiness during times of my grandparents being alive as well, just knowing that at such point in time nothing unpleasant nor tragic had yet happened.. I could say more but, I feel though many forgotten memories would be brought back both good and bad..

I miss those carefree days alone in my room when time barely existed, back when I was only bruised and not broken.
I don't miss being forced to go to a youth group.

Well, being almost 54 years old, I miss having my whole life ahead of me.
I don't miss being depressed about having my whole life ahead of me.

I miss .. I guess the entire era
I miss the carefree lifestyle of being in a wealthy stable large family. Being given free reign and autonomy that actually became restricted as an adult later. I miss my dreams when they were still a possible direction to go.

I don't miss being in charge of the household from age 7 onward just because I was more reliable than my mother.
The entire period of my teen life after my mother sorta remarried (she ran off with this unknown pervy backwoods yahoo to other side of country and never checked to see if divorce was actually final) and we started that "adventure" living in house that back room off mine had a dirt floor and we only had food because I helped a blind 99 yr old woman maintain her garden and she shared the food with us when she cooked huge batches for canning.
I don't miss the expectations to be a wonderkid in engineering college before I was even in junior high.

I miss the quiet seclusion of living in the woods without close neighbors.

I don't miss the confusion and embarrassment of feeling different and not knowing why.

What I don't miss about my childhood is the dark days of elementary school. 8O

I had a lousy childhood, so there wasn't much to miss about it. I don't miss being constantly tormented by the other kids, and I don't miss the adults who let it happen.

I miss the luxury of having loads of time to read fairy tales and fantasy books.

I don't miss the MeanGirls of Middle School.
