Going to the library is fun. I have the good fortune to work at one, so I can check out anything I want.

There are a multitude of books on my favorite subjects: cats, the Olympics, autism/AS and various medical topics. I have checked out books on all of these topics.

:)

It was always a dream of mine to work at a library from the time I learned to read. I am so happy it came true. I can't wait for the opening of the new library in May.

Pretty cool, Berserker! 8)

Sometimes it feels like half my life was lived in the library, the other half in my room reading the books I checked out from the library .....

(okay, slight exaggeration)

... the strangest thing in college was, the Undergrad Library was one of the most popular places to socialize. Met a whole bunch of eccentric people there ... some of whom wore strange hats with legendary devices like Dr. Who's sonic screwdriver or alleged special powers of altering reality .... looking back, it's a good bet many were Aspies.

The Science and Engineering Library was pretty cool too ... that's where the computers were. This one friend of mine, The Mad Scribbler, once insisted that we sit down next to each other, each on our own separate computer, be completely silent, and must TOTALLY SILENTLY chat / type to each other instead of talking out loud (or rather, talking quietly enough for a library anyways)! Now there's an Aspie for you. :)

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I knew a guy whose library magazine preference was Popular Science. Me, I preferred an unusual British humor magazine called Punch.
