Moon is almost completely red now. Raleigh scattering is cool. During the initial covering I could see blue on the edge of the shadow, now mostly red.

Dang, I wish we didn't live in Chicago. It never gets dark enough at night to really see this stuff well.

really cool. It's like half blood-moon, half regular moon. Weird.

totally awesome!

I live for this kind of stuff.

Funny, Mars is just off to the right and the sun is exactly behind the Earth and I'm the crux. AND I saw a shooting star to boot!

Bow before me!

I went ahead and combined the two eclipse threads.

I couldn't help but to take photos, even though my camera isn't made for this.

Yes, I saw it!

My flat is on the East side of the building. I have been watching it out the window my computer is next to.

I'm glad it is tonight as tomorrow through Friday it is supposed to be snowing here!

The clouds hung around all day, until I had given up all hope of watching the eclipse.

Then, just before sunset, the cloud cover began to scatter. By 6:30pm, our skies were clear. It was incredible.

I saw it, it was beautiful! We had clouds here in the morning but they dissipated just in time. Saturn was nearby, to the left and a little lower.
