What is your opinion, Brother Longshot?

It was not a bad adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune novel, just not the best; then again, consider the script itself went through several rewrites as well; various directors came and went as well, regardless a good movie overall..

Personally, I'm in favor of this remake; as, I feel it will be closer to the source material; as well, given today's advances in technology, the special effects will be phenomenal.

This new version will cover only the first half of the book.

(Think of the two-part adaptation of Stephen King's novel It.)

And yes, with the advances in technology, I also say that the CG in this new take
could be a shoo-in for the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.

the lure, Poland, 2015
a musical about mermaids who become nightclub singers. lots of bizarre images, great music. good entertainment. highly recommended if all you want to do is just be entertained for two hours, and not much more.

I went to a very cool Drive Inn last night and saw Rocket Man.. really enjoyed it! They played retro ‘80s music videos on screen prior to the movie.

formulaic mid-60s melodrama. low-contrast monochrome stock could have used a better remastering, improve the contrast some.

the velveteen rabbit [1985 straight to video]. narrated with class and feel, by meryl streep. a weeper.
