Lifeboat

A lesser-known film directed by Alfred Hitchcock from a script by John Steinbeck.

My NT sister and I both thought this film would have some sort of supernatural twists to it, but no.

It's short (about 90 minutes) and hardly has depictions of bloodshed in it, just people on a lifeboat
trying to get along with each other in order to survive with little to no rations.

"My Octopus Teacher," a South African tale [filmed @ False Bay outside of Cape Town] of a nature filmmaker who falls in love with an octopus, and his love is reciprocated. this movie haunts me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

my sister turned me onto it. she did not like it though because she thought the man's narration was intrusive. that did not bother me. if it weren't for her high speed internet and streaming netflix i'd have never heard of or seen this wonderful movie.

I like the occassionally tear jerker. :)

The last two saddest movies I watched were The Green Mile and In The Heart of the Sea.

In The Heart of the Sea is grossly underrated I might add. It was a very sad movie about a group of whalers whose ship gets destroyed by a giant whale and the men are desperately trying to make it back home across the unforgiving sea which pushes them to do unthinkable things in order to survive. Most of them don't even survive the journey back home...

It made me want to cry

I think I saw The Yearling many years ago but I was in elementary school and barely remember it.

I think another sad movie involving dogs you would have enjoyed from that era was "Where the Red Fern Grows"
