Hello WP.
Here I sit at 4 in the morning unable sleep because my mind won't stop... again.
I learned of Asperger's about a week ago; stumbled onto it while looking up some information on forensic psychology. I'm absolutely positive I'm an aspie. 99.44% sure my father was, and my 8yo daughter is diagnosed on the spectrum (not my idea... her stupid mother thinks something is wrong with her. Go figure.)

There is SO much evidence now that I can look back on it all and understand what was really happening. I won't bore anyone with details, you've read it dozens of times here and other places... and if I started then it would get looooooong very quickly because I'd have to tell you every detail so that there was no possibility of confusion... but if anyone wants to ask about specifics feel free.

Learning about Asperger's is like finding the instruction manual for my brain, and it's awesome!

Thats what I was thinking when I first heard of Aspergers, too. It's like..."Wow, I finally know what these buttons are for!".
Not in the literal sence...but figuring out why you are the way you are, is great!

I hope you enjoy posting here.

Welcome, took me a while to know what it was. I felt different and thought I was just shy. Took a lot of therapists and psychiatrist until my family saw a show on it. They were the ones that helped me get a diagnosis. So I know I have it now. Glad to have you here. 8)

Thanks for the welcomes. This last week or so has been quite an adventure.
Although I still feel a diagnosis is just a label, looking at things around me differently has made me realize that there is pretty much a case study here. I wish I had a scanner. My mom kept a lot of things from my school years. It's pretty wild.

I'm 99.876 percent sure your statistical decimals are completely arbitrary.

Well... there's a reason I used that particular number "99.44". Google it.
Unless you're just being facetious, in which case, "good one."
