It is pretty tough to just pick one. I love Eddie Van Halen, Hendrix was awesome and from Seattle, Eric Clapton is bluesy goodness. Then theres like Joe Satriani and guys like that who rock too. And who doesn't love Angus Young? And the late great Randy Rhodes was just so badass. And the Edge just has a way of making the simplest parts sound awesome.

My favourite is Jimi Hendrix.

I'd say Larry Hibbitt from Hundred Reasons. He refuses to be constrained. He plays other instruments, he sings, but as a guitarist especially, he just doesn't give a s**t. He makes up his own tunings - one I've ripped off from him is CFCFCF - and gets these discordant notes and chords and riffs.

I really wish Randy Holden recorded more in the late 60s - early 70s.
