I once found a specimen of a species of hawk-moth that smelled like cucumber.

The smell of cut grass tends to give me a headache... Cedar is a great one I missed.

I too love odd smells. Love the smell of gasoline and tar. Lots of other random strange things I can't remember right now. My favorite smells are probably cinnamon and cloves, though.

I like petrol as well, but my favorite smell is PVC. Also, the smell of fresh mushrooms, and the smell of a cat's fur.

Certain pamphlets smell nice, but it has to be that shiny paper...not newsprint.
Coffee, though I'm not a big coffee drinker.
Warm electronics, one of the best is a scale model train engine.
Gear oil.
Almost anything new.....rubber, plastics etc.
Wet paint.
Playdough.
Petrol, especially premium and aviation fuel.

I'm sure there are more.

A loooong time ago, when I was 15 (I think), I had a very nice smell coming from my groin. I don't know if it was an early fungal or yeast infection but it was nice. It was almost addictive. I couldn't get enough of it. Weird, I know.

That got me wondering. I don't mean this in a horrible way but does anyone actually like the smell of their clothes after being worn? I like the smell of my husband's shirts after he's worn them because they smell of his aftershave.

Yes, I really like the smell of my own clothes - not if they are really sweaty, but normally when they smell of me mixed with my deodorant. Thats one reason why I dont like to change them too much. Do worry though that this smell might be horrible to some people (but other'smight like it too, I dont know). I also like the smell of one particular other person - its not her perfume, but just the smell of her - I can tell whether she has just walked through a room by the smell. Makes me want to just bury my nose in her clothes (anyone seen/read the Perfume by the way - I empathise a lot with the main character).
I also like the smell of musty old churches and the air on a warm spring day and I love the smell of the sea
