It's Arizona... not California... lol, I think the rents between the two states probably differ quite a bit for the same amount of square footage.

A dinky, decent apartment up where I live in Humboldt County can run $600+ easily and you don't get all the utilities paid either.

Hope the move goes well and you really like your new digs Richard!

Congratulations!

well its a dorm you guys. i guess its for college kids, and everyone shares a common living space. i barley found this out yesterday, i would only get my own room and bathroom. now its not looking like such a hot idea, curse you all men!

this is why i have a backup plan. i just dont know what it is!

The security deposit looked a bit high to me. I have a nice apartment for 425 a month with a 200$ security deposit.

It's the entire upper floor of a largish house. I got 2 bedrooms, a full sized dining room full sized living room, huge kitchen and a full bath + an enclose porch and a small deck porch outside of that. It looks like it hasn't been remodeled since the 40s though but I like that style so I can't complain. I do kind of live inthe middle of nowhere in a depressed area but that is also by design because I work from home online and I depend on a low cost of living to make things add up.

There are actually quite a few regions of the U.S. with apartments in the $300 - $500 range. I remember seeing some 2 bedroom apts. listed in Buffalo, NY for $475 monthly rent.
