I've just been really listening to the words of Behind Blue Eyes.
Do you think there is an aspie or autie element to the song?

I know of the song, but I haven't heard it in a while. Remembering the lyrics I can see where you're coming from, but I beleive that the song is meant, in general, to relate to misunderstanding, which is a common aspect of life as an Aspie. It is similar to the X-men comics in a way. Many users have come here and said "I think the X-men relates to Aspies", and the general comment is that "Yes, it can be taken that way, but the same can apply to racism, homosexuality, and other such things". Same applies to Behind Blue Eyes.

I've also noticed you're from NZ. So am I! Me be down in Wellington.

Ahh, no-one is ever anywhere near me. Yeah, the song is. I might dig around and find it.

Funnily enough I just finished watching Peter Jackson's King Kong, which is all around misunderstanding. Thing is, Kong has yellow eyes. :P

The movie has inspired sequences in my own story. The main character gets an evil form that grows and takes over him, making him irrational and psychotic, if for brief periods of time. No-one understands him, and even his own friends start to lost trust in him. Except for a friend, who is usually depressed. Using the phrase from the movie, "And lo the beast looked upon the face of beauty, and beauty stayed his hand", it is this character, Zoe, who, in her sadness, manages to help the main character recover from his affliction.
