I know of/enjoy Mr. Bungle. I always hear them referred to as "experimental" though.

I don't know that these are prog rock per se, but +1 for The Gathering. I don't see too many fans of them (or any, but that just goes with the territory). Good list sir.

I think I pretty much just get to list the bands I actually know...

I'm familiar with both Mr. Bungle and Melt Banana. I'm not that familiar with Mr. Bungle, though I like a lot of stuff by Melt Banana.

Never got into progressive rock, but I do like this band a lot. Found it from a friend, never really looked into any more PR though, maybe I will.

ELP were one of the major bands of the original British prog movement in the early 70s, along with Yes and Genesis. The band consisted of Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer (and, interestingly, they were originally looking to form the acronym HELP, but Jimi Hendrix died before that could become a reality). Their work was heavily based on classical music, with much of their catalogue consisting of prog-rock reinterpretations of pieces written by composers like Modest Mussorgsky, Aaron Copeland, and Alberto Ginastera. Their best known work, however, is probably their original song "Karn Evil 9 (1st Impression)".
