In no specific order (but close)

1) King Crimson

2) U.K.

3) Yes

4) Genesis (1970 - 1980 notice none of that stupid pop stuff is there lol)

5) Emerson, Lake, and Palmer (ever notice that Carl Palmer speeds up during his fills? Good drummer, but not steady)

Considering only classic European 70s Prog:

Can
King Crimson
Genesis (with Peter Gabriel obviously)
Yes
Pink Floyd (up through Dark Side of the Moon obviously, and "Echoes" is my favorite piece by them)

With a broad interpretation of what could count as progressive rock:

Can
King Crimson
Les Rallizes Denudes (obscure Japanese psych rock band)
Godspeed You Black Emperor
Mono

I'm sorry to inform you this, but Queen is not a progressive rock band, but an art metal band (not quite complex enough to be a progressive rock band). Close though. And I do like them.
