if you boil water and add a bunch of wax to the boiling water and wait until it's melted and let it cool in the pot or whatever, would the water beneath the wax be sterile being protected by the layer of wax?

What if the wax contained gasoline or something similar?

you would have to have heaps of wax because all the wax will go to the side of the pot I think.

Also you might evaporate the wax if it gets to hot.

But I am know expert :scratch:

the wax would float to the top. I've done it before.
