Out of the current options, I would probably prefer McCain, but that is with some reluctance.

McCain

Not because I agree with his policies, it's just that voting for him we would get more of the same and maybe in that time we could find someone else to run the country... :(

more of the same would destroy the economy and most likely lead to a bloody world war....a real world war, not just some little petty fray like vietnam or iraq.

clinton sucked and is part of why our economy is going down the tubes.

Clinton wasn't horrible on economics. At least he balanced the budget. Our economic troubles are probably more due to huge deficits run up in the current administration, and the inflationary tactics to try to get out of paying those taxes.
Not saying I really like Clinton, but he certainly wasn't nearly as bad as Bush, and he was definitely better than the two who preceded him.
I'd really like a new Jefferson to come and lead our country, but that's not going to happen. I'd also like a new Hamilton to handle our financial affairs. And yes, before anyone points it out, I know that Jefferson and Hamilton didn't get along. They both still had good ideas that we should learn from.

well moreso, it was under clinton's watch that the housing bubble got its start. he did nothing because he sucks at economics as much as bush, he's just a lot more of a salesman while bush is a worthless spoiled brat who has no abilities or talents because he's never had to work a day in his whole life.

Clinton....too many bad things to list about Clinton.

I would hope that Bill would run by proxy, but I fear that Hilary would take control. As stated by economist Brad deLong who worked in the Clinton administration:
Brad deLong wrote:
My two cents' worth--and I think it is the two cents' worth of everybody who worked for the Clinton Administration health care reform effort of 1993-1994--is that Hillary Rodham Clinton needs to be kept very far away from the White House for the rest of her life. Heading up health-care reform was the only major administrative job she has ever tried to do. And she was a complete flop at it. She had neither the grasp of policy substance, the managerial skills, nor the political smarts to do the job she was then given. And she wasn't smart enough to realize that she was in over her head and had to get out of the Health Care Czar role quickly.

Frankly, I would vote for Bill if the entire legal status and historical status of him were different, but is it smart to rest my hopes that he would take control from his wife? I don't think so.
