Yay... I just finished reverting my Thinkpad to its factory settings and what do you know? Not only do I have several weeks of work on my hands to get it back to how I like it, but I can't connect to the internet AND IT'S ALREADY TELLING ME THAT THE REGISTRY HAS ERRORS AND THAT I NEED TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET TO FIX THEM AND I CAN'T!

:x If I wasn't trying so hard not to scream I would be crying. I hate this. I hate it so much!

Hey Kitten I know how frustrating this can be.
My computer is full of garbage I know, and keeps doing strange things, but I don't want to pull the plug on it because of all the work to get it back to where I like it.
I was wondering if you ever heard of ghost.
It's a program that allows you to create an image of your hard drive as a backup. You might want to check into doing that once you get things as you like them. I wish I had known about it when I set this computer up.

Also does anyone know if there is something like this for macs? ?

Hey folks, just letting you know that my laptop is on the 'to do' list: I plan on ringing the techies on Monday (tomorrow being my Sunday!) so that we can get it up and running again. At the moment I am just trying to keep as busy as I can with other things so I don't start showing symptoms of separation anxiety! It's just not the same when you have to use the office computer! I LIKE being all snyug in bed with my lappy! *cries*

So yeah, if I'm not here as much for the next week or so *cries some more* you will know why!

Kitten

LOL! I was browing through forums and saw the title of this thread and thought to myself that I might make a post saying "Join the club!"... until I realised it was my own thread!
