Any Wp'ers going?
It's awfully late notice for Brisbanites and too late for Melbournians
I went last year and it was great!
Still don't know about going this year
Jewel Staite from Firefly/Serenity, that is, Kaylee
will be there, giving autographs and two talks, one a Serenity Retrospective
the other called 'Visions of Atlantis',
which would be my main motivation for going.

i was at the melbourne supernova on sunday 30th March.
more for the anime side and video games(not entirely a sci fi con). Michael Winslow was cool, watched his panel the room was packed out. went shopping and watched some contests it was fun. i even entered the kamehameha contest (who can yell the loudest and imitate the dragonball z guys), a guy cosplaying as Vegeta won. i played the new naruto game for the wii which will be out in may in australia. there were some good cosplays at the cosplay contest. i checked out the madman panel where the local anime company were talking about there releases and requisitions for the next couple of months.
i say local anime company when i talk about madman because they own 97% of the anime dvd market.

check out the armageddon multimedia expo, apparently there is a sci fi weekend in may in sydney and melbourne. the melbourne main expo is in the first weekend of november this year. http://armageddonexpo.com/
