Well, i have for a couple of years now had some horrible mood issues. I have found that music can influence it a lot.

At this point i have a library of music i use to influence my mood. If i want to relax i set on music x, if i want a "high" i set on music y, if i want happy i set on music q.

It works very nice. But i have a hard time actually identifying my mood at any given time.

Does anyone else have a problem with this?

Music can influence my mood. If I feel like I'm about to have a mood swing, I play some of my favorite songs (all by dragonforce ofc) and it seems to either go away, or I cry heavily and get over it quickly.

I also find that my favourite genres of music put me into a better mood. I can be in a very crappy mood, and a good song will make it better. 8)

Music definitely influences my mood. I have my iPod arranged by mood, in fact. I've found lately that I'm into more music that makes me feel good about life, as opposed to my previous preferences (Rammstein, Disturbed, Godsmack, Korn, MSI, etc.).

I like to listen to different types of music depending on my mood. If I'm down, a bit of depressing music cheers me up. If I'm feeling good, I'll go for heavier stuff.

Heavy metal hypes me up, not by putting me into more of an angry mood, but the aggressive feel of it pretty much kicks me into a more secure attitude.

Music doesn't influence my mood too much. If I'm in a bad mood, no amount of listening to DJ Klubbingman's "Magic Summer Night" is going to make me feel better.

Music has no influence over my mood. It stimulates my thoughts, but not my emotions.

Deprivation of music gets to me though. I'll quickly get irritated and snappy, as music is a) a huge obsession and b) a fixed part of my routines/day.

It matters a lot to me. If I want to relax I can put on Celtic music or Sara Chang playing Mendelssohn instead of KMFDM or Filter. Changes everything for me. :)

Gosh, I don't know how many times I mention him, but Elliott Smith is definitely Aspie music. The melodies are pretty cheery for the most part, almost lullaby-like, yet the words are so melancholy. Whenever I'm feeling depressed I'll hear a few depressing songs, then a few okay ones, then a few happy. Brings me right back up.
