Reasons Why These Characters Are The Same:

1. They both are played by black actors.
2. They both have one-word names
3. Stoic & wooden
4. Both are considered traitors by their own people
5. Noble warriors with traditional weapons (bat'leth, staff weapon)
6. They both have family problems (Alexander & Ryac)
7. They both have cultural problems (Klingon Empire & Free Jaffa)
8. Both single (by necessity?)
9. Both defect to fight w/ the humans
10. Parents died violent deaths
11. The "alien" mystique
12. The ocassional love interest
13. Super-athletic and super-human
13. Same value system
14. Stilted & archaic vocabularies
15. Romantic characters

More?

This is an open challenge. The winner and runners-up with receive nothing at all.

Actually Worf married Jadzia Dax, so he's technically a Widower (or not, the host at least..;). T'ealc was married in the beginning of the series, hence his son...;)

Tea'lc defected, Worf was raised by the Rhozhenkos (sp?) after being found alive after a Romulan raid.

Stilted and archaic? Indeed...;)

They're a stock character; heck, next thing you know, we'll be throwing in Garibaldi, and the grumpy doctor from Stargate: Atlantis..;) D'argo, and that guy with the weapons from
Serenity...;)

and I should get a life and not watch so much TV...;)

Stargate Atlantis does not have grumpy doctor. On the contrary, Carson Beckett MD is a cheery Scottish down-to-earth (irony?) type. Nu BSG has a grumpy fleet doctor whose larynx can barely function. :eew:
