:( I'm sorry you feel that way.

I'm too new to expect replies... I think.

My friends respond to my topics and posts, that's all that matters to me.

I don't blame anyone for feeling that way though, it's human nature to want to be popular and known.

That being said, does the fact that I discarded my desire to fit in with my "peers" mean that I am no longer human?

I just get a some pms from some of the members I've known.

I've never been good at seeking attention, except in a negative way from other members, why this is, I don't really know. So no I don't get pms except from my close friends on this board that I'm very greatful for. I've also never been good at posting to members I barely know, it freaks me out a little. I don't now how they would react or respond.

Yeah, maybe it's because I only make posts on here occasionally which usually involve the words "death" and "maggots".

Who wants to be popular? If you're popular, people just want to hang out with you all the time. I can't imagine anything more exhausting and annoying! I think my coworkers and peers respect my intelligence and admire my work, that's all that matters. Geez, if they were dropping by to visit and chat all the time, I'd lose that popularity (along with my sanity) in no time at all, when I started screaming at them to get the f**** away from me and leave me alone. It's nice to have a friend or two, but popular in the High School or Hollywood sense? No thanks.

Heh, I just post away. Sometimes I’m a little disappointed if no one replies, but that’s if I’m having a crappy day to begin with. Add to that I can be a bit disjointed in my posts and that may confuse some people. That alone may not make one a popular member here or anywhere else.

I have a head full of random thoughts.

Normal user, I come on, I play the number games, I welcome people in, I join in with threads.

Not been around posting long enough to have gained many friends like I have on other fora but that wasn't initially why I came here.

I don't know if the word unpopular would explain how I feel, maybe ignored would be a better description.

It does upset me sometimes. I have over 500 posts, and I still haven't made one friend on here. I find myself mentally going through what I have posted, and thinking about whether or not I was appropriate, ect... It's very much the same feeling as IRL where I'm trying to figure out if I did/said something wrong, and if I did what it was.

For the most part, yes I do and I don't feel too bad about it. I see it as an asset.

Wait - on the forum? Oh, meh, whatever.

^For once I agree with you there, it would be too exhausting to be pop if ppl were constantly wanting to hang with me like a leach or drop by all the time. The social pressure of keeping a visade would enventually break into insanity. I don't know how long I could keep up with the pressure of being the crowd pleaser and reciever.

Yeah, but I don't really care. Being popular is nice, but it takes so much time and effort.

I'd say yes. Most of the time I don't care...
but I admit I do like my existence being acknowledged sometimes.

I feel as if no one knows or cares about me all the time.

It depends on what kind of a day I'm having.
