I find this unlikely.

In order for divergent evolution to take place there needs to be physical separation between the populations. IN an age of globalization, that is certainly not happening.

While theres always the theory of autism being a divergent neurotype, I don't think the separation between us and Neurotypicals is half as much as it needs to be to develop into a distinct species. Subspecies, maybe. But certainly not species.

Interesting... but stupid.

What I'm curious about is why the fifth, sixth, and seventh men on the evolution chart stopped walking, while the eighth one is still walking?

So . . . this guy just decided to borrow the plot of a 113 year old science fiction novel?

I think full cyborg integration would be more interesting future . . . RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED!

We already have the hive mind... it's called Wikipedia...

We just have to be careful and not let Big Brother take over... otherwise we would end up like real borg...

Splitsville topic

It might be okay if those of us on the Autistic Spectrum are the ruling class! Imagine me with glossy hair, perfect skin and pert breasts (naturally, a man would envision this!). And the men sound like gods! Oh, my. Have I died and gone to paradise?

But seriously, this whole thing sounds very flawed. I am glad Dr. Curry (Tim?) warned us so that this may never happen. Skewed visions of the future are too simplistic and negate all that we dearly hold Darwinian. :)
