If you're planning on asking out a girl, how do you broach the subject, and finally ask her out? I don't want to seem tongue-tied like I usually am when I've tried asking girls out in the past. Any advice?

Ask on facebook, if it's casual. Some advice against it, but for a casual date or something. If you really want to date her, then make sure she likes and TALKS TO YOU at least some and try your luck. the worse she'll say is no thank you, but your a nice guy.

well...it depends on the girl. Be nice, fun, and self-confident, without being smarmy, frantic, and overbearing...

well, maybe it's harder than I think...

just be yourself.

Be casual. A lot of people on here seem to want to be overly formal about it. Just have a conversation and say: "Hey, you wanna go get something to eat?"

Easy as that.

what he said.

Also, invite her for a coffee, so if you find out she's not your type or you get bored (it happens!), you'll be able to get out fast. If things go fine, you can extend the date by inviting her to dinner after the coffee ;)

the_incident has the right idea, but I just want to add that I think it's a good idea to get to know a girl before you ask her on a date. Being asked to go on a date with someone who barely knows me is weird and makes me think the person thinks appearance is most important and I automatically say no.

I'm not saying this is the case for you, just that quite a few guys have needed this advice, so I thought I'd put it just in case.
