I don't consider myself a nerd.

I am definitely a nerd because I design and build systems all day behind a closed door, and avoid all social contact with co-workers.

Labels like that do not bother me, because {Aspie-Nerd=Great Salary} in my field

Geek = Someone who is engrossed by a subject and will do more weird things to do it. (Re: the circus geek biting off chicken heads.)
Nerd = An intelligent, but socially awkward of the highest order. (Re: Dr. Seuss's character)
Dork = Socially awkward, but not really intelligent.

That's how I've come to understand it.

Actually, I'm more of a geek, because I'm into recreational things like anime rather than intellectual things like science and math.

I'm definitely a nerd, but I don't care for Star Trek, so I'm not a huge one.

I never cared for the term "geek", I always picture the textbook definition, a person eating live animals.

I identify myself as a nerd even if I don't perfectly fit the stereotype (for example I'm extremely philosophical). I figure that no one really fits the complete stereotype so it's okay to call yourself a nerd as long as you have a few aspects of it.

Geek better describes me. 8)

Yes, but without the serious extremes, such as biting off chicken heads.

Sort of.

I'm not into SciFi (unless you count Lord of The Rings and Discworld,) I do not know any programming languages nor do I have any burning desire to, and I don't wear glasses. What am I? An individual?

I don't know, which is worse? 36 hours straight coding on a computer without as much of a break or biting off chicken heads? Eh, they are extremes. A geek is engrossed, a nerd is someone who is just intelligent and likes to study, read or practice with himself to make up for his lack of social skills.

I forgot Dweeb, but I don't have a definition for that.

According to this, I'm a nerd.
