can't search google or yahoo. Help!

I just took care of a bunch of viruses and malware. But, before that I couldn't search with search engines. I still can't.

Is there a setting that need adjusting or something?

I even deleted all my cookies and browser history.

depends on what virii, malware, and how you 'dealt' with it. Did you use something like Hijak This! and delete everything it found? that can cause problems.

Have you tried just putting in http://www.google.com ? does it come up that way? You might consider downloading Firefox (after saving your favorites, and then uninstalling and reinstalling)

I'm using firefox.

I deleted adw_reanimator, cryp_tap-2, troj_vundo.bmf and something else.
