I would make a documentary because I like documentaries. I would focus on adults because we are generally overlooked by the media.
Maybe each episode would be a mini-biography of an adult with AS. This would show how diverse we are, how we have changed throughout our lives, how AS may be more or less obvious depending on the situation, and how we can be successful.
I get tired of seeing the media focus only on people with extremely obvious AS characteristics - often so obvious or extreme that I wonder if there is something else going on too. I had obvious AS when I was a child, and today I think I'm pretty obvious to the trained eye, but I've changed a lot and gotten a lot better at blending in and getting by. I think this is how it is for most adult aspies.
I can understand. I was more obvious as a child.
However, I never worry about blending in, and generally don't care what anyone thinks of me. I am what I am, take it or leave it
I may not be financially successful, but I am more or less happy in life.
