No, she has to be an Aspie.

I tried moving on from that girl, but everyone else I have contacted blew me off after a given time, for whatever reason.

There are only three Aspies in the Austin/San Antonio areas---all of them married.

As far as someone who is like-minded, I guess Seattle and San Francisco ARE my only choices as to where to find these people, but both of those cities are permanently out of my price range.

How about an NT with traits? That's what I've got, and it works great.

:wall: I feel like beating you about the head (in a friendly way) :D

I think you are obsessing about the "must be an aspie". There are lots even here on WP who have not had a dx, so how would you know whether anyone is an NT with traits or an aspie anyway? Where is the line that separates people just with traits and people who are?

Even the ones who aren't diagnosed are nearly impossible to find.

Me too. Get the Nerf bats!

You know what, though... if Tim meets a girl he really likes, who likes him, I doubt he'll ditch her just because she doesn't score high enough on the quiz. ;)

Would it also help that intimacy will also be an issue. I don't think I can't wait until marriage, and in fact, would prefer it rather early in a relationship.

I stand no chance with an NT because I make less than $50,000 per year. (In fact, I am unemployed because of school).

Still working on the same thing as you friend.

As far as I can tell conformity even in the littlest form is our solution to "love".

But I can say this, you must become fully aware of who you are and accept who you are before she or any woman will accept you.

The types of people I want to attract who are Aspies are nearly impossible to find. And those who are NTs are the ones who require that I make a certain amount of money.

I really don't know you well enough, but if I had to say anything, you seem to try too hard. For real. :\

(I voted something else, btw.)

Unless there is someone I find attractive that not only will tolerate unemployed guys, but who pretty much has a FETISH for them, I don't stand a chance.

I voted something else

I've read hundreds of your posts Tim, and I sincerely, and with no insult or offense intended, recommend you discuss this with a counselor: NPD

My answers are in bold

has a grandiose sense of self-importance

I have always felt ignored by peers (both online and in real life), and sometimes even by my own family.

is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

Nearly 90% of the things I do, I do to impress others.

believes that he or she is "special" and unique

Not sure if I have this trait

requires excessive admiration

again with the whole "being ignored" thing.
