Too bad the vid's no longer availible.

I have to wonder about the sound quality of it.

XD

OMG you guys are hilarious. This music is from way before electricity and recording technology was ever invented. About 900 years before actually... That video was from a piece of music from 1098 – 1179.

When you guys listen to anything by Beethoven or Bach do you actually think that they recorded the music in the 1700's? Beethoven's/Bach's music was all written to a sheet and recorded in the 1900's.

Yeah, that was kinda my whole point. XD Guess I was too vague about it....

I'd figure for my first post, I would go with Canadian bands/singers. All of these songs I enjoy.

The Guess Who - No time.

I couldn't find one of the group playing, so I opted for a vid with good sound quality.

April Wine - I like to Rock.

Found one with band. There is some feedback to the recording, but good enough.

Rush - Subdivisions

A wonderful song worth listening to the lyrics. I can very much relate.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1qnKJOhKHg

Bryan Adams - Run to you

What can I say, it is Bryan Adams. This song comes from a great album.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKfQwqJ2IYw

Aldo Nova - Fantasy

Not well known, his first album was just awesome and I wish he hard more opportunity.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GylirgHFqeQ

Joni Mitchell - Help Me

Her voice... her voice... is so soothing in this song. Wow. I used this version because of the sound quality.

Corey Hart - Never surrender

Awesome song, it speaks for itself.

The volume varies on songs, so you may need to adjust as needed.

I have an inexplicable obsession with this Flying Burrito Brothers video (my avatar made me do it??). I like all the period footage.

Oh, and yeah, "Sin City" is a great song too.

I can help with that.

So here's a video you might like to post:

Here's how you post it:
1. Copy the URL from the YouTube page on which the video plays.
2. Click on the YouTube icon, right next to the Image icon in the upper tool bar here in the WP post form.
3. A pop-up will come up, just like when you post an image or a URL - paste the YouTube URL in there.
4. Click OK.
5. Post your post.

The code looks like this (obviously w/o the added spaces):

[ youtube ] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhTCYqJs ... re=related [ /youtube ]

PS - KingOfKaboom, what other old blues guys do you like? And do you read books about the history of the blues? I'm curious because it's something I'm into as well - just not a current obsessional focus, you know how these things go . . .

Muddy Waters is good. Anyone know of Robert Johnson?

Robert Johnson, Crossroads. He's got some good stuff if you like blues in its old and original!! !

Me and the Devil, Robert Johnson.

There's an old myth that Robert Johnson couldn't play the guitar until he sold his soul to the devil!!

I can't remember names but one has a name for his guitar and STILL plays he's old as dirt and plays the blues awesomely just wish I was better with names :x

And thanks for posting the Muddy Waters :)

This is one of my all time dance favorites from my "disco dancing" years. Even now, it makes me want to dance!
