Also Rinoa and Garnet. I just find any characters from Final Fantasy to be likeable instantly. Not in a romantic kind of way, just wondering what it would be like to be with them if they were real.

When I was younger I had a fascination with Commudus the evil emperor from Gladiator. I remember watching the movie and being entracned by his presence then going outside in the snow by a creek and thinking about him.

hmm...not so much in books (well, maybe 'lusted in my heart' in a few books, but you can guess what kind of books those were...;)

I know there's Jane Austen groups, etc., that tend to flutter over Darcy, et al...;)

Not even embarrassed.

Topanga Orlov in "On the Last Afternoon," silhouetted against the stormy sky, calmly blasting away with the hastily converted cutting laser at the giant caterpillar-sluglike creatures from the ocean overrunning the human colony, cutting them to pieces, until the power charge runs out.

Le bump.

Recently I saw the movie Some Kind of Wonderful and fell in love with Mary Stuart Masterson's character, Watts. I thought it was cute how under the sharp, punk-loving, tomboy appearance (which I love, anyway), she had a secret crush on her best friend. I thought it showed strength in her character to go as far as to help him get together with another girl before he even knew how she felt. I was rooting for Watts to the end.

David Tennant, as The Doctor on Doctor Who, generally shows off a bright, confident personality in some dangerous circumstances, which draws me more to him. I'm like one of those girls who's always pining away for him in the recent episodes. :P

Generally I fall for characters with bold personalities who show a lot of confidence. For girls, a plus is to have very few actual signs of femininity.
