I like mostly new prog bands like Porcupine tree, Anekdoten, Black Bonzo, Riverside.

One 70's band i like is Camel.

What i don't like about some 70's bands is the singing, i can't stand that really english voice.

For me Tool, Oceansize and Aerogramme

All excellent bands, but since Genesis is the greatest band ever, it's pretty easy. :D

Interesting ... all of these bands were considered "Progressive" back in 2008 (when this thread was started), but now they're just considered "Oldies", "Classic Rock" or "Boomer Bands".

Pink Floyd is my personal favorite, followed by King Crimson, Rush, Yes, ELP, and Porcupine Tree. Honorable mentions to Tool, Kansas, the Alan Parsons Project, and Jethro Tull. Haven't listened to enough Genesis or Gentle Giant to say for sure but I like what I've heard. Prog rock/metal have to be two of my favorite subgenres of anything.

I'm surprised Gentle Giant isn't getting more love.

I almost accidentally clicked yes as in "I like all of them." Lot of good prog rock bands didn't make the poll. My favorites that weren't listed: Jethro Tull, Kansas, ELP.

I don't listen to as much prog rock as I used to. More of a metalhead now.

Cool. Why does it say I wasn't made for these times under your account?
