It's midnight, and I still have to wait an hour or so before going to bed in my own dorm room. The reason is that I have two roommates who are still up, and I can't fall asleep if they're up typing away and clicking around at their computers.

I'm really so freakishly bored and have been continuously for a stretch of months with a few small spikes away from the absolute boredom.

I really feel like banging my head onto the desk or punching myself because I'm really that bored. I have punched my just (doesn't hurt) for a few seconds out of shere agony of boredom a couple of times before. There just is no relief, and I can't even sleep when I want to!

Why do I find everything so utterly uninteresting nowadays? I can't even work myself to have an opinion in class or at the freethinkers' meetings I have gone to.

I just wake up wanting to go back to sleep.

I have been ridiculously bored at times.
I have hit myself at times.
Can't say that the two have ever been at all related to each other.

No time to be bored when there's evil afoot. The only ones getting hit will be the evil-doers.

I don't hit myself when I'm bored. I hit myself when I'm frustrated.

I'm rarely bored. I do hit myself, (my palm against my chin) but only when I'm very stressed.

I know that was a joke, but seriously boredom is excrutiatingly painful psychically.

Same here. I bounce up and down on my toes until my calf muscles start to hurt when I'm bored. Or I draw stuff during class, day dream about anywhere else I could be, review Elvish verb conjugations or stare at the wall in the chem lab and try to memorize the entire periodic table. Darn transition block metals! :x

Indeed it is. I get suicidal if I get bored enough.
When I'm bored, I will feel like running headfirst repeatedly into the nearest wall.
I felt like that last night, but I settled for attacking my arms with a pair of scissors instead, as I didn't want to wake people up.
For the next few weeks, I have two choices
1. Wear long sleeves, and be very uncomfortable, as it is spring and the weather is hot.
2. Wear short sleeves and scare small children.
That is what boredom does to me.

Admittedly, though, this last lot wasn't to do with boredom. I started on antidepressants a few weeks ago, and I've gone from feeling nothing at all to feeling way too much (if someone says "good morning" to me in the wrong way, I'll spend the rest of the day trying not to kill myself)
So anyway, a few days ago I was very wound up, then to make things worse I found out that I'm going to have to apply for compassionate withdrawal from most of my subjects at university.
As one does, I went home, got stoned out of my head on sleeping pills and household solvents (which produce a beautifully interesting effect when used together), and attacked my arms with scissors.
Then my brain decided that it was fun and that I should do it for the next few days.
I've switched to a chisel now, though. More blood, less effort.
Edit: Spent most of the night after that trying not to run headfirst into the nearest wall. My brain is making a concerted effort to kill me these days.
