I was thinking today that there aren't enough books on the market for adult autistics and there aren't very many (good) fiction books where the main character is autistic for adults/teens. I was thinking of trying to write one, but I can't really come up with any ideas. Does anyone here have any? I need one for a fiction book and one for a non-fiction book. Both would be told from the point of view of the autistic person, not from the view of an outsider.

Don't write a story about autism. Write a story with an autistic character (doesn't even have to be the protagonist). I'm working on a story now that I got over 150 pages into before I decided one of the supporting characters might be an Aspie. It doesn't change the direction of the core story, but it does add a wonderful dimension to the character.
