I had a brief thing with growling, like for example, at my doctor. I was joking around a bit, yet at the same time would also mean it as an expression of discomfort. At the time I was very into dogs.

I actually use my voices of people and animals to entertain and establish rapport with coworkers. It's more effective than rambling on and on about some obscure disease or chemical reaction.

I growl when I'm angry, but my brother who is autistic(I have AS) makes lots of animal noises. It depends on what his current obsession is and he's into tigers at the moment. The problem is he can't control it, so he does it at school and gets into trouble for it even though he's not doing it on purpose.
