Is this “objective,” or a blatant commercial?

Please check out this link.
http://www.dailymotion.com/related/x56r ... aignin_fun

The issue is not the issue here. My question is about the video itself.
Where are you right now, and what do you see in this ink-blot test?

Hubby showed me this video. He is currently on the fence about the candidates.
I would call him 50/50, politically, and he saw this video as perfectly balanced.

I am 100% Obama, and I saw it as a blatant commercial for Obama.

To someone who is 100% McCain, would this video look like a blatant commercial for McCain? (Does such a person exist?)

I'm not 100% McCain (not even McCain is that!) but it seems to me like the commercial "respects" McCain more.

For one, McCain sounds like some kind of general, while Obama sounds like a 12 year old. This is after seein all the problems from Bush leaving office, sounds like McCain's an actual candidate for presidency, Obama's skipping around on a pony-WTF?
They "make fun" of McCain's POW time, not really, just pointing it out more likely.
Bringing in the democratic hopeful Hilary, and all the others rallying behind Obama, a change of tune for sure, but it's done in a cutting way. Did they treat McCain the same?

Tahitiii,

You must be NUTS!! !! ! The video was, for ONCE, objective, honest, and unbiased! HERE are the main points I see!

1. Mccain is liberal, old, has health problems, but is THE "conservative" candidate against obama!! !!

2. Obama is for NOTHING, vague, and campaigns on a term CHANGE that even HE doesn't know about!

3. Hillary is a JERK that Campaigned and lost but she will be BACK in four years.

4. They are all campaigning SIMPLY to win and will tell you ANYTHING, but WON'T keep their promises!! !!

BTW I am "for" mccain for the reasons specified by the video. I HATE him, but I am not a poor black, so I am not going to be for obama that apparently wants to subsidize blacks MORE at all costs! I am ALSO not a stupid woman that wants to vote for hillary ONLY because she has a female body(She doesn't really care about any female concerns unless they affect HER! She even said as much when BILL was campaigning!)! BOTH would want to end the war, and increase "entitlements" with NO concern for sanity. At least mccain seems more balanced.

Ahem, all the candidates shown in video all pretty much work for the same people. And it's not us.

I'm for Ron Paul and restoring freedom and the constitution.

So, you would say that you are 90/10 McCain, and that this video makes McCain look very good?

My question is still about the inkblot test.
(But I still think it makes McCain look like a complete fool.)

So, that's four people who support the inkblot theory, and no contradictions?

Hubby is 50/50, and he saw this video as perfectly balanced.
I am 100% Obama, and I saw it as a blatant commercial for Obama.
JR is 90/10 McCain, and says that this video makes McCain look very good.
2ukenkerl seems to be 100% McCain, and doesn't address the inkblot question.
Gosmokesome, I guess, is 00/00 and sees the video as balanced?

Some people are STILL like me, and vote AGAINST the worse one, rather than FOR someone.

Ron Paul has some good points, they ALL appear to, but there is some crazy stuff ALSO! I think he is one of this campaign's Ross Perots. Ross Perot ran during both Bill runs, and helped Bill win! BOTH times, he pulled out at the last minute!

I don't know WHAT you mean by "ink blot". Jib Jab is KNOWN for making videos like this. USUALLY they are a BIT more biased.

BTW it made Obama look like more of a fool than ANYONE! Hillary will be back, Mccain is too liberal and old, and Obama is a lying fool trying to deceive by using the word CHANGE! CLEARLY, it is more against obama than anyone, yet YOU think they are campaigning for him!? WOW!

Shouldn't a mod move this to the Politics forum?

This has nothing to do with autism.

My question is about Autism.
This is not a political question.

It is an inkblot test.
Who are you, and what do you see in this video?
You need to be both the patient and the shrink at the same time to answer this question.
The correct answer will only take one line of text.

A moderator could remove the posts from "2ukenkerl," which do not address or acknowledge the question.

Objective? No, it is satire - highly subjective.

It pokes fun of everyone in it. The representations of the candidates are held by many people, but the people that did the cartoon chose which ones to include.

In terms of bias, I think the people that did the cartoon are biased to want the largest audience they can get. So they will portray each of the candidates in a way that has both positive and negative images ... that way, every one has something to like and something to dislike, and more people watch it and talk about it.

I found that video to be pretty equally satirical. Then again I'm a Chuck Baldwin (formerlly Ron Paul til he dropped out) conservative, who doesn't like McCain or Obama (or Hillary) one bit at all.

One more posts that completely ignores the question (sigh.)

LeonKrahe is 00/00 and saw the video as balanced.

Really, guys, the answer to this question is a one-liner.

It makes fun of the whole big circus... most people will probably vote for the guy who they think will do the least damage.

Ok, I'm going to try this again.
I realize that my communication skills are weak, but this is starting to get to me.

This is not a political question. It is an inkblot test. The issue is not the issue here.
My question is about the video itself. I don't object to hearing your political views,
but would you please answer me somewhere along the way?

I have a specific, two-part question:

(1) Which candidate do you prefer right now?
You can be 100% Obama.
Or 100% McCain.
Or 60/40 Obama (slight preferance).
Or 90/10 McCain (strong preferance).
Or completely on the fence and therefore 50/50.
Or disgusted with the lot of them and therefore 00/00.

(2) What do you see in this video? Does it seem completely neutral, or
does it seem to favor one candidate over the other?

You need to be both the patient and the shrink at the same time to answer this question.
The correct answer will only take one line of text. For example:

Hubby is 50/50, and he saw this video as perfectly balanced.
I am 100% Obama, and I saw it as a blatant commercial for Obama.
JR is 90/10 McCain, and says that this video makes McCain look very good.
Gosmokesome, I guess, is 00/00 and saw the video as balanced?
LeonKrahe is 00/00 and saw the video as balanced.

2ukenkerl seems to be 100% McCain, but did not acknowledge or address the inkblot question.
corroonb did not answer
monty did not answer
Callista did not answer

Really, guys, the answer to this question is a one-liner.

Noo... I said it was balanced... it makes fun of both sides, just like I do. But I'm not American, so I won't be voting.

It's just an inkblot test.
You can still have a preference. If you could vote, who would it be?
From what I gather, hanging with people on-line, from Bangladesh to Holland to Australia, most people seem to care how this turns out.

I'm mostly for Obama (though I don't even live in the US, so this won't matter much), and I can see why some would consider Obama's optimism as delusional.

I think the video made fun of all of them in equal amounts.
