It might be more difficult to tell than one thinks. It's so easy to make assumptions about subjects you're not too familiar with, and i think a fair number of people underestimate either their abilities in math/sciences, or in language/literature. Your interest in the subject obviously plays an important role too. I don't know how much better my math grades had been had i had the concentration skills and the willpower to do boring math exercises over and over. [/boast]

What I'm trying to say is that it'm not so easy to say the male brain is better suited for maths, and vice versa. I don't deny that that's the case either.

For me, it's math and sciences anyway.

English, writing and languages (female)

I did well in biology but only average in chemistry, and it was a struggle.

I am a literature and science gal. I was pretty good with math when I was younger, but seem to have lost it as an adult.

Super awesome at: Biology, Chemistry and literature, native languages.

Devastating at: foreign languages, maths and physics.

I was doing equally good at English/German and Biology, which means I was equally bored at all 3 subjects because I knew all that the teachers taught.

Well, I would say my strengths, best to worse, are:

science
language/literature
math

I guess I am not that bad at math. I have lately seen many that have done far worse than I have. Still, I may not know all those formulas.

As for language, I really should get to speaking and listening more, but reading and writing IS ok all things considered.

I don't know why so many put science and math together. Science DOES often work better with a good math background, and it reinforces it, etc... but the two ARE different enough that being great at one doesn't mean you are great at the other.

math/sciences-- and I am male

I do not like reading literature or writing, both are very unnatural to me.

I'm fantastic with reading/writing/literature and I'm sodding awfully at anything number related. Especially physics. And I'm female.

I'm better at maths/sciences by a considerable margin and always have been.

Well, I quite like Maths as i find it relativley easy, i am faitly good at science, however my grades are quite unpredictable as sometimes i do terrible in test and other times i do the best in my class. I think like maths more than english because in class there is only one answer and it is either correct or incorrect.

I am useless at English literatur/language. I have no imagination and don't always understand the meaning behind some language, that is why sometimes in english lessons i don't have a clue what is going on.

I really love foreign languages, languages other than my mother tongue, English, of course. I especially love writing in foreign languages even though I haven't done so in a while and might be a little rusty. When I was in college I particularly enjoyed writing short papers in different languages and I found it helped me get a feel for them.
