Ever find yourself trying to be more social only to find yourself not wanting to and going back to avoiding it all together?

Seriously. :\ There's been many a time I've decided to go somewhere and do something with/around other people. Almost always I wonder why I'm even there, because all it does is make me feel more isolated from them. After that, I usually figure for a while that it's best just to go back to doing what I usually do, that being generally solitary or less-social activities. As far as I've found, actively TRYING to be social is overrated if it doesn't come naturally - the people who I'm most likely to get along with, at least, will be found in ways more suited to my interests.
