This is my favourite Papa M song that I just rediscovered today.

I tried to figure it out a while ago without much success. After monkeying around with tunings I think I have finally figured it out to work quite elegantly with the growly sounding CGCEGE (low to high). It's really fun and hypnotic to play but requires a little finger picking. If you find a better tuning let me know.

My favourite Replacements song. Quality of the recording on youtube is not so good but it is from 'Let it Be' which I suggest is a good album if you haven't heard the Replacments before. Listen to 'Tommy Gets His Tonsils Out' and tell me that it isn't what inspired the Nevermind era Nirvana!
Another absolutely addictive beauty to play. Pretty sure it uses open Asus tuning EAEABE

Just rediscovered Sebadoh. I love the version of this song from the 'Helmet vs Sebadoh' album but this live version is a little more listenable, there are numerous versions by Sebadoh and others.

Lately I've been playing a lot of acoustic...

A couple Phil Spector songs, a few Elton Johns, some Michale Graves, Misfits, Sam Cooke, Bee Gees, David Bowie, Paul Simon, Beach Boys, Uriah Heep, Del Shannon, Jethro Tull, Moody Blues, Chuck Berry, Pink Floyd, and other misc. stuff.

I oughtta be practicing my bass a bit, too

a guitar you play, a bass you kill, for example like this:

Primus are awesome. I was listening to 'The Brown Album' the other day. The bass groans like a wounded tree.

I feel violated by the Buckethead guitar lesson! Very scary but I can't stop watching it. Can't believe I have never even heard of this guy(?) before, even though he has apparently worked with the mighty Claypool amongst others.

Welcome to Bucketheadland :) theres no turning back and no refunds
The guitar lesson is just freaky, but o boy the guy can play

He was born in a coupe
raised in a cage
children feared him
critics raged
he`s half alive
he`s half dead
folks just call him..
BUCKETHEAD

the bastard son of a preacherman, hidden away to hide the shame..

If anyone is interested I posted a tab of Krusty by Papa M on a tab site. I have way too much spare time as it turns out! I just love playing this song so much that I thought it needed to be shared anyhow...

I've got quite a few tabs/chords that I've figured out by ear, and even more that I've had to fix because tone-deaf people like to write tabs...but I haven't uploaded any to any websites yet =/ Maybe I should...
