Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I have to play through it about once a year.

Compared to other Zelda games minus the CD-I ones it was on the low quality side but hey it was an NES era game.

The CD-I games don't count in my opinion. Nintendo wasn't even involved beyond letting Phillips borrow the characters. They pretty much wiped their hands clean of that mess.

It's a tie between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

Wind Waker had: Treasure hunting (would've hated it if not for my game guide, and yes I was cheating)
Dragon Roost Island
Parry command
The interaction between enemies. You can slash the pig guy's butt (forgot what it's called) and watch it bounce in pain. Can also make enemies hit each other.
The first time Link went down to Hyrule Castle
And the cel-shaded look

Twilight Princess had:
Midna
Wolf Link
The Lakebed Temple
Zant
A very villianous Ganondorf
Telma
And swordfighting on horseback

The first game was great. If you can't come at the primitive graphics, there's Zelda Classic for the PC which comes with an updated campaign with better graphics.

Whoa. Those are fighting words.

Majora's Mask... I never beat it, but I played through the first part (until I got control of time or some such) completely stoned on egg nog, and damn did it seem incredibly awesome.

IDK, it seems to me they haven't done enough since the release of Ocarina of Time to really distinguish the series.

Most of any innovation that happens in the Zelda series, save for Majora's Mask has been on the portable systems IMO. Hence my preference for those ones.

I was always a fan of Ocarina of Time. I think it's probably the most replayable game ever, I've beaten it like 5 times and partially beaten it 3 or 4 more times and still wouldn't mind playing it again.
