I think this is the place to post this, but if I'm wrong just let me know, and I'll fix it.

On Monday, school started back. That in itself was typically a problem, but added to that was that over the summer I'd been trying to get in touch with the girls gym coach to ask if I could to an at home PE course like my best friend had after I was told the early bird Gov't/Econ class that would allow me all of my classes AND early dismissal was cancelled. After much fuss, confusion, stress, and bother, I ended getting taking out of the Drama class I was adamant about keeping and put into PE anyway. Fortunately, I had PE first period, and was abel to discuss it with the teacher only to discover she had given me permission through the original guidance counselor I'd spoken with. I went after school and got my schedule corrected. Everything pretty okay now. That night at rehearsal I renderred the outside side (what I usually walk on) of my left foot unusable and began had begun losing my voice earlier in the evening.

Tuesday, all students where marched out to the new stadium for a new stadium in 88 degree weather for over half an hour. I have a sun allergy and extreme light sensitivity. Oh, and I'd developed laryngitus.

Wednesday, I gained voice back just a little, gained a cold, went to Walmart for school supplies (as it turns out I didn't by any from there because they didn't have my usual stuff and the place looked like a war zone), and told my parent about my foot. Since there wasn't too much swelling my dad determined I'd only bruised the bone of the ball of my foot and not broken it like I'd originally thought, but I still couldn't put weight on it.

On Thursday... I've never gotten the hang of Thrusdays. They're usually best left unmentioned...

AND FRIDAY:

As a current senior in high school, my school allows student with the grades and the acheived credits to take a dual credit English 101 and 102 course at three local area institutions. I chose to go to the college campus for the class.

Originally, I was sent a letter saying the class would take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 2:20. This Wednesday, we were told by the high school to go to a meeting in Montgomery Building room 204 and 1 o'clock. When we arrived, the discovery was made we were in someone else's classroom. The professor who arranged the meeting ended up taking us outside for the meeting because all the rooms were full. He then told us our classes were changed from Tues-Thurs, to Mon-Wen-Fri from 1-1:50. I was alright with this seeing as how it would be easier on my transporation.

He had told us to be a the Timken Building, room 214 today at 1.

Then there was a sign on the door telling us to go to Hamrick Building, room 201. Having been a part of Hamlet at the college in the previous year, I was the only one who could navigate the campus. Imagine this: 20 odd NTs following around an aspie like ducklings to their mum. Feel free to laugh.

Next! Room 201 had a Cal class in it. Then I had the idea of going to Dr. R's office (the one who told us to go to Timken, and also said that he didn't know who was going to teach the class) to see if he was in. Big surprise: he wasn't.

Next, I (by myself at this point because the others were tired/bored/annoyed/you-name-it) went up to the Curtis Administrative building where the front desk sent me to registration, who sent me to a back office, who sent me to the office of my best friend's dad, who wasn't there and thus prompting me to go to his office neighbor and collegue, Dr. C, who walked us (about 7 odd others besides me who had come to the reg office soon after I was speaking with a reg officer) back to the reg office, who called someone who told us the class was in Hamrick 214 (does that number look familiar, anyone?). Dr. C escorted to 214 only to discover an empty class room. We then trekked back to Curtis where she left us in the lobby to hunt information. None forthcoming, she had us write down our names and phone numbers so someone could get in contact with us.

I then went to Dr. T's office (my bf's dad) to wait for her and Dr. T. This whole time she'd been in her actual class. When he came back he went about contacting the proffesor of the class to try and explain what happened (who wasn't in either), and that's when I learned there were TWO Hamrick 201s!

My mother had told me to wait in the campus library for her to get off work and come pick me up. My bf escorted me there, but the whole incident had left me hot, tired, ill (on top of the cold I already had), and wanting to shut down for a while. She let me use her dad's phone to call my mom to come pick me up early.

Perfect end to a perfect week.

This makes me wary of the rest of the year.

During the whole experience today, I was pretty calm, but the aftermath was like I tidal wave. I'm still not over it...

Any advice? Suggestions?

Reminds me of when I took a computer class at Mesa Community College. We were told to go to one place for orientation. When we got there we were told to go to another place. And so on and so forth. The whole time I was doing my best to explain what was happening to a Vietnamese girl who spoke next to no English (I don't know any Vietnamese). I, the Aspie, was the only one who took the trouble to help her. We did eventually get to the right place and got to see the orientation video.

In my experience, community colleges are staffed by students and temps who don't know their heads from a hole in the ground. From talking to faculty members, I gather that the entire system is extremely disorganized. I would suggest that you take those classes online or at your high school. That way you only have to deal with one campus at a time. Save college for when you're finished with high school.

As for your foot, go to the doctor and get a note excusing you from anything that requires you to put weight on it. That will at least remove that stress factor.

This was an actual private school college. And it's the place I want to go after high school. And the class lets me skip freshman English...

That was very nice of you to help her. We never found our class...

I have to walk, I just stay off it as much as I can.

Thank you for the advice. It is much appreciated.
