I just got an Iaudio X5L. Not as sleek as an Ipod but many more features and 3x the battery life.

There's no way I can list everything on it. Most recently I was listening to Portishead, Steven Lynch, Franz Ferdinand, and The Hives. And NPR on the radio.

My MP3 player is my cellphone (Moto e815). No memory card yet for it, but when I get one, most likely it'll have stuff on it like:

Plastilina Mosh
Los Amogis Invisibles
Bebel Gilberto
A couple of sampler CDs from Scion (big eveil corporate tie-in, yes, but good stuff)
Maybe an LP or two that I've digitized

And other stuff

Haven't got it yet, but a Creative Neeon. Sleek as a Mini, a little smaller (Nano's are just TOO small.) more features, fm radio, voice recorder etc, better battery life, works off Windows Media, just plain better. And a little alternative. 8) Pulled me in hook-line-and-sinker.

Will have all my 248+ songs on it.

I have a 3rd generation iPod, 15 GB version, and love it.

Right now, its holding just under 2800 files, mostly 1960s-1990s radio hits with some rock and other more obscure files.

I have a 20GB iPod but it currently only has 764 songs on it. There will be tonnes more when I actually get around to uploading my music to it :? I figured it was better value getting one with more space then a mini because it was only $100 more expensive, yet can hold about 4500 more songs or whatever else I want to put on it. So right now it doesn't have great music on it :P

Does anyone else consider mp3s to be the greatest farce in music technology.
What is the allure in the ability to access any song ever recorded at the touch of a button, on a lavishingly slender slice of silicon which you can shove up your arse, without feeling any pain.
When did we lose the will to own an album of songs in its all inclusive material form, complete with album cover (without which I consider an album to be a disintergrated diversive mess), and complete with lyrics

I have a Creative Zen, and inspite of the touchpad, it is absolutely wicked, especially the blue outline light.

Playlist sample:
Christopher Lawrence - Rush Hour
Marvin Gaye - Got To Give It Up
Black Sabbath - After Forever

I have a clickwheel iPod, 40 gigs. It has 6605 "songs" on it (some "songs" are an hour long - an entire act of an opera, for example.
