I put yes based on what I have been told by family members/friends. I am not even a little bit charismatic when I am out in the world and in situations that I am uncomfortable in (which is most situations). Most of my life people I am comfortable around tell me things like "If you would act in public the way you do at home then you wouldn't have any problems". Whether or not they are full of crap I don't know.

I should clarify that my "peculiar charm" isn't quite so strongly positive. It's just that some people continue to hang out or talk to me on a semi-regular basis, but apart from laughing at an occasional joke, there's never really a clear indication that any of them actually enjoy my company.

I once had a co-worker tell me that I think nobody likes me, but that they really do. I never could figure out why they would, though.

most of the people who don't like me are unpopular and not liked themselves to begin with not people who are dorky but the kind of people who are very uptight and try to hard to impress people. Jealousy perhaps?

Quite easily, if you have no idea of the effect you have on others. I can't tell what others think of me unless they tell me.

Depends on who you ask! :) Some people would say NO WAY, and others would say DEFINITELY

To some, sure, "charismatic" in a way. They often say (annoyingly, kinda) "fey" which is probably about my fairly intense gaze and the fact that I'm quite good-looking but 3/4-sized.

To others, "grating", "arrogant," and weirdly, "intimidating." The last has often puzzled me, because people who rank me in every concrete way (more money, more social respect, every earmark of success, greater physical strength) will confide in third parties that they are intimidated by me.

In a way, I am. When I'm singing or talking about things I know about. But still I don't make friends.

I'm not.

And I'm not even sure I'd want to.

And even then, how to be sure if they are being honest?
I am charismatic, to myself, and the few that appreciate me. And I feel truly blessed to have that.

I always seem to attract attention from unexpected sources and people whom I expect to take notice or see something in common with never pay attention - it's very strange.

Every once in a while the two intersect, which is nice.
But I wouldn't call it across-the-board charisma. I think I'm just interesting to certain types of people, and I haven't figured out the pattern yet.
