Hi,

I guess I am a "Broader Autism Phenotype" and have an Aspie sister and nephew and my little boy has Autism. My husband was diagnosed ADD but honestly, I think he is BAP too.

Lately, I have been feeling so frustrated at the NT world--specially the so called "professionals" in the education system. How judgemental they can be and how arrogant always imposing their priorities and values on my child! Not to mention how their narrowmindedness makes their view of my son miopic to say the least.

I have found comfort in this site and will be visiting often!

Hello!

Yes, it is good isn't it. It made a huge difference to my life. A place to be me, and explanations, ideas, and dialogue which make sense.

PS: my 9 year old son home-unschools so don't have the school aggravation problem.

:)

Hi there,

"Awesome to have found this site", yes. Similar experience here.

Arrogance and narrowmindedness really suck a lot. Translate my adagium or quote and that's a really old saying by Plinius. Sorry to say but it hasn't changed since those days. Probably it has gotten worse.

Best of luck to you and your family,
Ceesjan

Welcome to Wrong Planet, ASDMOM. "Comfort" is a great description of Wrong Planet. You'll find a lot of that here.

Hi welcome, I am also a mother aspie, and my older child is also on the autism spectrum... your so right our biggest problem is often the lack of real understanding from others...
