Has anybody successfully installed Asterisk PBX on an ASUS EEE 2G Surf Linux laptop?

I just ordered one for that purpose. It only has 2GB of HDD space, but a SD Flash card can be added to expand it if necessary.

Asterisk is a linux based phone PBX. It lets you have a sophisticated phone system in your house. You can make and receive calls over the net. It is similar to skype, but allows a more powerful setup. You can route calls based on who they are from or what time of day.

For example, if you are at work, a call that comes to your house can be routed to your cell phone, but only if its from someone you know. Other calls go to your voice mail. Calls that come in at night could be handled the same way. Its only limited by your imagination.
