It's funny how back then I was listening to punk and metal, but when I think of the 80's I only recall the pop songs that I liked. I suppose I'd have to list too many songs if I included those genres.

Here I constructed a higly considered list, of some seminal eighties groups and defining songs.
Due to the ecletic nature of most these bands I have had difficulty finding some songs which best represent their oeuvre.
