ive just read batman arkam asylam and i think it was brilliant. It was dark violent and very gritty and this is the one heath read for performing his joker.

My favourite Western graphic novel is Watchmen. My favourite manga is Ghost in the Shell.

Put another mark down for Watchmen. Also, I found Sandman: Season of Mists to be quite inspirational.

- Tintin: The Shooting Star, Explorers on the Moon and Tintin in Tibet
- Asterix: Asterix and the Great Crossing, Asterix and the Roman Agent and Obelix and Co.
- Classics Illustrated: The Time Machine and The First Men in the Moon
- Lisa Comics: Lisa in Wordland
- Futurama Comics #20

you cant deny judge dredd is the best comic book.

he was/is an AS hard man.

uncompromising sticks to the rules.

The Reformed, wasn't bad. It would have been good if it had more detail and plot though. I read the first Legends of Warcraft comic to, and totaly loved the dwarf smith.

I can't pick just one of the Sandman graphic novels. My husband likes "The Kindly Ones" best though.

Dredd wasnt bad, but I always favoured Rogue Trooper, or the ABC warriors. (Slaine possibly, but only the later sexy artwork versions by Bisley.)

Arkham Asylum rocks; Killing Joke is also excellent (though I'm not sure how comfortable I am with the idea them Joker a definite origin story, but it was really well done). Watchmen = amazing.

I'm afraid I'm a very dull one, being a latecomer to comics (started reading them in my 30s). I like Ultimate Spiderman, only the Ultimate version, because of the grace of the lines in the pictures. And I read a bunch of Inuyasha manga online after finding out the show didn't cover the full storyline. So I'm nowhere near reading anything beyond what modern culture has thrown in my path... except for that manga I read about some restaurant for the dead, that was a wild one, must go pick up that story...

Since then I've been trying to work up graphics and fresh characterizations for my own novel characters and haven't been reading them at all.
