I was im'ing someone i met here i politely disagreed with him and he told me shut up. again
It was like i was talking to a different person

Well, shut up is a bit different then f off. What context was it used in? Because shut up can be either playful or menacing, depending on the situation and the way it's used.

Well, that's asperger's for you. You need to make it clear with asperger people that you are not trying to offend them. Some people are just going to have no tolerance for someone disagreeing, in that case, you're better off without him or her.

Well, there's a difference you know. if my parrot told me to shut up I'd laugh my head off.
You could of offended her too you know, people react differentally, just because people have aspergers doesn't mean they're all the same.

if you want to know if it's you, or the people you're talking to, I'd suggest posting the IM conversation here, omitting names/tel no/address, and people will be able to make a more specific comment, rather than generalising about how easy people are to take offence etc.
