Having basic social skills is impressive to a lot of us.

Well yeah, that is something most of us were born without and few of us learn.

Maybe you think so, but that doesn`t make it true.
I probably sound lame alot of times, people have
called me weird all my life, have been alone for a
long time and thats just the way it is. I try to do my
best every day, its not like i sit down and plan how
i can be really sucky at meeting people, being alone
and sound lame. So...i`ll guess i`ll just ask nicely
to please not rub my, or anybody elses nose in it.
I dont think anybody needs that. And so what if
someone sounds lame now and then, it doesn`t
matter.

What you should be looking for is the knowledge that is hidden
amongst WP`s members. After being here a few months, i have
seen so much talent, knowledge and intelligense, so much abillity
to understand and be caring, to learn, study and work hard, that
it actually gives me a tiny hope for the human race :D There are
some great people in this place, worth listening to no matter what
they sound like. We all have our up`s and down`s.

I'm not saying that we're lame as an insult to anyone; it just dawned on me that many people take basic social skills for granted, when the lack of them poses such a problem to us.

Hell, if you ever see me at school you'd know I suck at interacting with other people.

I second that. I've learned a lot from so many people here. I may be in a depressed mood now but I do actually have some hope for myself and the human race as well. I was a major misanthropist before joining this site but I've learned to accept people for who they are. I learned this partially from this site.

Not to attack the OP or anything. What ImTheGuyThatDidThat said really touched base with me. :D

When you consider how far those basic social skills can get you it is only lame when you don't find them impressive

I obviously don't have as good of social skills as I thought if they're supposed to actually get me somewhere.
