I know exactly what Xander is talking about. I often feel like I am a completely different species. And the only member of my species at that.

Yea verily...
But how to describe oneself?...
inhuman?
ahuman?
nonhuman?
pseudohuman?

My favourite salute in chat was "Hi Hominids"
I feel some association with Hominids
:D

I like "ex-human" or "post-human" myself.

i just think i'm "aspie"....that's a nice term....

i feel very different from random humans who talk to me or befriend me....but i can get on with them very well which means im not lonely, just kind of alone.....until i log into here of course :)

i kind of feel like a different species of homosapien...same organs, a heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, but a very very different brain.x

I can't shake the idea that the 'spectrum' is not a malfunction, or disorder, but a now archaic genetic difference that has survived in certain lineages. What I mean, it originated from a specialized group of homosapiens, or even further back, that had a slightly different brain than modern humans, and which suited their situation quite well.

I just can't shake this idea, as out there as it might seem at first.

Fair enough, it took us millenia to win (aka Bill Gates) I suppose, but actually there is a lot I've read that sort of supports that many AS traits are suitable to forest dwellers, especially ones that might move around. I would need to do a thesus to explain it though.

But on the other had, are there any other disorders who's problems mostly stem from trying to navigate a foreign world (so to speak) and which can also have so many benefits? Just saying.

There is a neanderthal theory floating around (i've read this and it made some interesting points, but it pretty much went a little off the deep end).

I sometimes see myself as separate, and when referencing NTs, I simply thing to myself in terms of, 'Those zany humans, I don't get it!'.
I find my self on terms of Robot. With a working emotion system, but in my imagination, I am a mixed human package. One part human, one part Pokémon, and one part fairy.
<_< Now if only I could actually be that. Hurry up with that genetic modification research, make it safe, and make some Pokémon already!

So ... your sh*t doesn't stink because you've separated yourself from the unwashed masses?
