My favorite at the moment would be "Eye In The Sky" by the Alan Parsons Project. And I'm cheating, cause it's the original LP, not a CD. :P

I really don't have a favorite though, I'm quite fond of my whole physical music collection. If I've bought it, it means it was pretty high up on my list anyway. Otherwise it just stays as a downloaded mp3, flac or whatever.

I collect both CDs and vinyl records. My latest junk store find was a perfect condition 7" single of the "OH YEAH!" song from the Ferrari scenes on "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Sometimes I buy records just for the humor aspect, which is why I also have two versions of the painfully infamous "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley on a 7". 8O

Best way to listen to it: On CD, using headphones, highest volume possible. Beyond orgasmic = beyond understatement.

Nada Surf- High/Low. I've had this album since I was 13 and I still listen to it.

TLC- CrazySexyCool. I got this album when I was 12. I've slowly realized just how different this hip hop is.

Evan's Blue- The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume.

NIN- Pretty Hate Machine.

There are probably others, but here are a few at least.

My favourite artist is Swedish, and he sings in Swedish too, so none of you would know who he is anyway. But my favorite artist who sings in english is Richard Hawley. I can warmly recommend you all to listen to him, especially his first record, "Late Night Final" (2001). After that I think you should listen to his latest, (?) "Lady´s Bridge" (2007).
Don´t miss to check him out on youtube, there you got some good stuff like "Coles Corner, "Hotel room" and "the Ocean".

There are moments when I must play him; when the autumn comes with its cold evenings and the rain is drumming against the window. Than I make myself a big cup of tea and huddle up in my sofa. And than, it´s like the rest of the world is something far, far away.

My favourite is 'Stain' by Living Colour, although there are two songs on it that I skip (namely 'Hemp' and 'WTFF'). Most of the songs sound very powerful in both music and lyrics, and it's also a little ambitious and daring.

I'm very happy I saw this band live in November last year.

And id probably add

Insomniac - Green Day

Nookie - Green day

Foo fighters - Foo Fighters

"The colour and the shape" (foo fighters) has some great songs too, like "my hero" and "everlong", but i dont remember much about the other songs... i heard it a while ago and some of it just sounded like simple punk-rock, nothing too special, for me at least. But i might be wrong.
