Actor Patrick Swayze's pancreatic cancer has apparently spread to his liver and is not expected to live much longer.

I guess this means "Raod House 2" isn't going to make it into production.

Well, I mean, it's a shame, isn't it, when someone is dying of cancer? But if you want someone to say the world will feel the loss of a great actor, you're going to have a long wait.

Seems like a nice guy, though. Sorry to hear he's got cancer.

What are the odds on him being Deathlist's #1 pick for 2009, then?

The Dirty Dancing actor was diagnosed with cancer in January and has since undergone pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at California's Stamford University Medical Center.

Earlier this week, he blasted reports he was dying, claiming the endless speculation around his health amounted to "emotional cruelty" to his family.

Patrick, 56, said: "Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease and from the moment I was diagnosed, I knew I was in for the fight of my life. It's a battle, and so far, I've been winning. I'm one of the lucky few that responds well to treatment.

"But the latest is they're reporting that I'm on my last legs and saying goodbye to my tearful family! For me, my family, and those close to me, it amounts to downright emotional cruelty. That makes me angry when hope is so precious."

"Road House 2: Last Call" was released directly to DVD in July 2006.

primary pancreatic cancer is the most aggressive cancer there is i read.
it breaks up easily and metastasizes to many other locations.
it also has a "doubling period" that is very short.

so he is very lucky to have lived for the time he did after diagnosis. his efforts to survive are notable.
but his demise is imminent.

mister patrick swayze,
is getting rather hazy,
his grip on life is in some strife
his resolve is getting lazy.
if it gets to his brain, then he'll feel the pain of going completely crazy.

i know those words are stupid but i thought of a tune for them.
i will sleep now.

What is it about the words from Mr. Patrick Swayze himself makes you continue to persecute him emotionally?

I am begining to think that speculation on his pain and suffering and death is the entertainment you seek, b9, not from any good will towards Mr Swayze.

continue? what words from swayze? i do not mean to persecute him.
i just said a small snippet about pancreatic cancer and then i realized i was not an authority on cancer in his case, so i decided to make a rhyme.

there are few words that rhyme with "swayze" except for the ones i used (and a few more i am sure).
they are words that may invoke negative connotations.
but let meaning not stand in the way of a nonsensical rhyme.

i have no thought about him and i should not have responded.
i agree my post was frivolous and shallow.
sorry.

well i did not say that last bit that you are quoting. you are confused i am sure. i do not derive entertainment from seeing others suffering and i do not like you to impute that i do.

i just made a very insensitive and inappropriate rhyme because i was tired and not serious. my judgment was poor. i did not think about the man when i made the rhyme. only his name.

but i get gnarly people who are disgruntled at my attitude they impose on me.

sorry ok?

I had an aunt who lost a battle with cancer. Nothing's funny about cancer, b9. I know you just couldn't resist being clever. People like you are addicted to being clever but really aren't all that wise.

:( :x
